Post 8 / English Language Challenges

Hello, we are once again in this blog, probably one of the last

This time telling my experience learning English at the University,

Personally in the last two courses I opted, we had the modality of blogs which I loved, being able to interact with other people, from other careers and with my peers, and share various topics and ideas, using English as a means of communication.

Also to be able to know each other with the different themes that were asked of us and personal anecdotes, everything we did in the same place.

On the other hand, since I was a child it always cost me English, even if I tried hard, and I have been using it in things, small to learn better, such as changing the language of my cell phone or computer, also play games in English and learn the dialogues, what I feel most has served me is to watch series and movies in English,  learning from it, such as the different intonations in different cases, and idioms of words.

Sometimes we try to speak only English with my sister or my friends and be able to communicate as we normally would, but in English, it is quite fun because sometimes we say any nonsense, but we still manage to understand haha, many say that English is only practical like all things, and every day I try to apply it so that it becomes a custom and is more familiar with it. 

I still hope to continue progressing on this path and finish with a fluent English and understand it without major inconveniences, I hope everyone in the course we achieve it will be very helpful for the future.

Post 7 / Changes to my study programme

Hello, we meet again on this site,

This time doing a kind of constructive criticism of the career I'm studying

I am currently in the second year of the architecture career, and one of the things that I have had the most complications is when expressing ideas through tools whether digital or analog, I feel that we should have a course specifically of this in order to improve the form of graphic representation that is something very important throughout the career and in the professional area.

These are things that we will always take into account and a good representation is very beneficial to be able to interpret ideas in a good way and this is both for students and teachers, since in both cases we are at the right.

On the other hand, we should also have more contact with the entire technological area of the infrastructure.

And the currents of this century, we are very far from what is taught in a European or American faculty.

Also the academic load is always an issue in the faculty, I do not manage to just organize well, sometimes the academic load is too much and this does not make us fulfill everything in the best way, or giving our full potential.

As for the faculty, the use of technologies is also indispensable, architecture is a career that is on par with new technologies and advances in science and we must adapt to those changes, to automation.

That's been some of my ideas, I hope to read yours.

Post 6 / Time travel

 Hello, we meet again, this time in a fictional but very interesting topic.

We will talk about a journey in time.

I honestly would have loved to travel into the past, specifically to the early twentieth century, to have met brilliant minds from that century who made up what we know the world today.

One of the brightest minds I admire is Nikola Tesla, inventor, scientist, physicist.

For me he is an idol in science, he spent his life dedicated to his research and inventions, and by some people he was branded as receiving extraterrestrial help haha. He was just a person with a clear goal and who had no distractions, so perhaps he was not a very sociable person, he was 100% dedicated to his inventions and achieved many things and advances that we all have commonly.

Also in these same years many innovations of all kinds happened and it was a boom, especially in the United States, unfortunately in the following years two devastating world wars passed, which made us go back all that boom and production.

Even so, last century we made great progress in issues of science, technology, health, infrastructure that, in thousands of years, all this for a model that encouraged individual competition, which benefited us all. If we start to question the environmental damage, then that is another issue. Which has nothing to do with the post haha. Nor would I like to stay to live inthis time haha, but if temporarily

Post 5 / My future job

 

Hello, I hope you are very well.  Today I will write about my future work, I promise not to elaborate so much.  I imagine in a few days years, working with trusted people, with friends from other areas, and make an architecture firm focused on working to people who need it, As a first project with a friend is to make an association for children who do not have families, help them in their lives, through architecture. She would specialize in the family environment, we intend to work on that as a first instance.

Although this would be the tip of the iceberg, I honestly imagine after finishing studying, doing classes, and helping students train as architects with all the shortcomings that I lacked, and then doing small projects, and participating in every architectural competition that is presented, all this focused on helping people.

Although I like to travel, I do not imagine a job traveling everywhere, perhaps for specific things, and important projects that arise, then ideally my dream is to work for individuals, fulfill their dreams through architecture, represent their ideas, and that they are realized with it.

Anyway, there are many ideas, right? Actually reading all this I realize that I am not clear about what I want to work on, but it is too early for that, for now I will only worry about making everything a reality, tell me what you would do?   We see in the next blog.
